Mexican sage is popular for its light (sometimes ever-)green, heart-shaped leaves and masses of brilliant coral-red flowers. Best used in the xeric garden; hummingbirds love it.

*Sources disagree on hardiness. Denver Botanic Gardens grows this successfully in Zone 5... we recommend taking cuttings in fall to overwinter in the Hudson Valley.
