Rose sage is an extraordinarily showy, evergreen subshrub. Silvery, aromatic leaves and enormous (for a salvia) purple-blue flowers win it a place in our gardens. Bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds love it too.

This California native is perfect for xeriscaping, but can also be grown successfully in the Northeast in a well-drained location. Deer and rabbit resistant.
