Verbena is a large and variable genus ranging from tiny ground covers to towering beauties. All have clustered flowers that attract hordes of pollinators.

American blue vervain is a towering eastern North American native that can be found growing in moist meadows, along streambanks, and in fields. Tall spikes of flowers are particularly attractive to butterflies. Foliage is coarse.

'White Spires' has pure white flower spikes.
