We grow comfrey for its beauty and garden value. Pollinators love the pale rosy purple flowers and we love the thick, lightly fuzzed leaves, which can be used as a mulch or mixed into compost. Easy to grow in average soil in full sun or part shade. Happiest with a bit of compost.
Symphytum x uplandicum is a large, bushy variety that is particularly good for harvesting. Sterile, but easy to propagate by root cutting.
