Icelandic poppy are charming perennials that bloom so heavily and for so long that they often burn themselves out. Thus, they are treated as biennials. Glaucous foliage is attractive enough but these plants are truly only grown for their enormous, brightly colored blooms.
'Champagne Bubbles F1 Orange' has excessively large orange flowers, long bloom time, and strong stems.
Arctic poppies are happiest in organically rich, evenly moist, well-drained soil in full sun. Daily deadheading prolongs the bloom show.
