Codonopsis clematidea

This rare, sprawling alpine has an untidy habit and sometimes pungent foliage, but is so worth growing for the pale blue nodding flowers with maroon-orange interiors. Easy to grow in full sun to part-shade on well-drained soil. Supports itself by sprawling through and around other plants.

Growing tip: these plants aren't necessarily noticeable for the first few years after planting. After a few years though, you will see them take off. Patience, patience.
