Caltha biflora | Howell's marshmarigold

ARCHIVED PLANT. This page serves as reference only. We are no longer propagating this plant.

There are only about ten members of the Caltha genus. All grow in moist, boggy conditions and all bloom in spring or summer with typical buttercup flowers. Attractive, glossy green leaves are generally heart or kidney shaped. We adore them all.

Caltha biflora has adorable white and yellow flowers that crown the fleshy leaves in summer. It is generally found west of the Cascade crest in Washington; Alaska to California, east to western Nevada.
