Solidago are weedy looking US native plants that try a gardeners patience in spring and early summer, yet it is so worth growing them and hanging in for the late summer bloom show.

Tall goldenrod, sometimes called late goldenrod, or Canadian goldenrod is the state wildflower of South Carolina. It bears dense panicles of dark yellow flowers on tall arching stems in fall and attracts hundreds of pollinators.

Easy to grow in full sun or part shade on most soils.
