Helenium autumnale 'Helena Red Shades' | sneezeweed

This plant will not be available in 2026, however, propagation is planned/underway. Please sign up for the waitlist below to receive updates on availability in future years.

Helenium are a bit old-fashioned, but excellent nonetheless. These eastern US Natives light up the late summer garden with their profusion of large blooms and exuberant colors. They are easy to grow in almost any soil, short of a bog.

'Helena Red Shades' are vigorous, stable hybrids with deep brownish-red stems and large flowers in varying shades of red. Flowers are extremely vibrant when they emerge in August (photos 1-3) but fade to beautiful autumnal shades later in the season (photos 4-6).
