A popular addition to wildflower meadows, the yellow honey-scented flowers provide nectar to pollinators and food for several species of caterpillars. This beautiful plant is also exceedingly useful. It has been used to stuff mattresses, repel fleas, assist in births, used as a dye, and used as a replacement for rennet in cheese production.
