Euphorbia griffithii
Euphorbia griffithii
Griffith's spurge is an eye catching plant that lends an almost tropical feel to the garden. Young leaves emerge with a pinkish tinge; brilliant red-orange-yellow flowers burst forth in spring; green foliage remains attractive through summer before turning brilliant shades of red in fall.
Grows and spreads quickly on fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun or part shade. Keep soil on the drier side if quick spread is not desired. Autumn protection needed through the first year - a light layer of fallen leaves will do. Deer and rabbit resistant.
WARNING: May cause minor vomiting or stomach upset if ingested. Sap or juice may cause dermatitis.
