Celtica gigantea | giant feather grass

Our favorite of all the ornamental grasses. This one pleases every day of the year. Flower spikes emerge from the clump of evergreen foliage in early summer, far earlier than other grasses. A few weeks later, metallic inflorescences appear. Tall inflorescences morph into a deep, rich gold as they age. Strong stems often remain standing through winter.
