Begonia grandis subsp. evansiana | hardy begonia

Here is the less commonly known, but lovely hardy begonia. Elegant leaves are topped by charming flowers summer through fall. Range is limited, but it is worth including in the shade garden where you can. One or two plants will quickly colonize after only a few years.

Varevansiana is so similar to the species that some taxonomist include it within the species.
