Green Milkweed is an easy to grow, deer resistant, North American native that can be found from Ohio to Nebraska south to Florida and Texas. It attracts butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and all sort of other beneficial creatures. The leaves are an important food source for the monarch butterfly caterpillar. We grow it for its bushy form and clusters of unusual green flowers.
Easy to grow in full sun in average to dry soils. Drought tolerant and extremely low maintenance. Plant it in the border or allow it to naturalize in the landscape.
