Anthyllis montana 'Rubra'
Anthyllis montana 'Rubra'
Mountain kidney vetch is a compact member of the pea family that makes an excellent addition to the rock garden. Soft, silky, grey-green leaves are complimented by deep burgundy clover flowers. This evergreen perennial looks great in a trough or alpine garden but grows well in any hot, sunny spot in dry, gravelly soil. Grows slowly at first; nearly indestructible once established.
