Pussytoes is the silliest of common names, but apt. The flowers truly do look like little bundles of cat toes. We grow them in troughs where the beautiful foliage spills happily over the sides, but they would be equally happy in the rock garden, meadow, or open woodland.
Antennaria howellii is a sweet little colonizer with attractive, lightly wooly foliage. Though small, it will cover ground given enough time.
