Agastache mexicana ‘Sangria’

This plant will not be available in 2026, however, propagation is planned/underway. Please sign up for the waitlist below to receive updates on availability in future years.

Agastache mexicana ‘Sangria’ is native to southwestern United States and northern Mexico where it is known as Toronjil. The lemon scented foliage and spires of beautiful red-purple flowers can be used to make a tasty tea. Pollinators love this plant!

Note: These perennial plants are often grown as annuals in cold, wet climates. Happily, we have been able to grow them successfully for a number of years in rubble. Excellent drainage seems to be the secret to getting them through winter. They have also seeded themselves into our gravel pathways. We let a few stay and they have also proven hardy over the last few years.
