Yes, these are mints, but don’t be scared. They will not take over the garden! 

M. aquatica (water mint) is a lovely little pond or marginal plant that looks great in a small water garden where it provides shelter for frogs and other little creatures. Butterflies, bees, and hoverflies adore the flowers.

M. longifolia (Buddleia Mint) is a vigorous herb with spicy, silvery leaves that resembles a miniature butterfly bush.
