Alpine catchfly forms a nice mat of bright green, narrow pointed leaves that are slightly sticky to the touch. A delightfully happy explosion of white flowers hover above the foliage on wiry stems all summer.
This perennial can be found growing naturally from the Eastern Alps to the Balkans where it grows in moist, stony meadows or slopes. In the garden, it is happiest in a sunny location with deep, limey, moist but well-drained soil.
