Bouncing Bet is an excellent plant, but it needs space to sprawl and really should be saved for the wild garden. It can form enormous (sometimes untidy) mats with pale pink phlox-like flowers.
Fun Fact: Soapwort is another common name for this plant. Its leaves produce a delicate lather that was used to clean old tapestries. Bouncing bet is an old English term that means washwoman.
