Artemisia are wonderful plants prized above all else for their silver-grey foliage. They are easy to grow in any dry, sunny spot and make an excellent foil to more brightly colored plants.
A. ludoviciana is a North American native with attractive willowy leaves held on tall silvery stems. Tiny plumes of grey-white flowers rise above the foliage in late summer. Give this plant room to grow - it spreads quickly by thin runners and can rapidly overpower a small garden.
